Explore flexible healthcare plans for small businesses

Investing for the future while managing your bottom line. It’s what makes you good at business. That’s why our flexible healthcare cover is designed to help you do both.

We offer two different types of healthcare plans - Business Health and Business Protect. Our Business Protect healthcare plans are great if you're looking to pay less - the main difference being that you and your employees will have access to less hospitals than you would with our Business Health healthcare plans.

As well as choosing either Business Protect or Business Health and the cover options that suit your budget, here are some other budget-friendly ways you can manage your plan.

Get covered for less than £25 per employee, per month*

Did you know you can combine our 3 most popular cover options
-Treatment with Comprehensive Cancer Cover
-Mental Health Cover and
with our cost-saving Guided option (see details below) for less than £25 per employee, per month?*
So, getting healthcare cover for your team doesn't have to break the budget.

*The above example is based on three employees (aged 25, 35 and 40), living in a TN2 postcode, with a £100 excess and a two year moratorium on pre-exisiting conditions. Treatment with Cancer Cover, Therapies and Mental Health Cover included (50% of our customers chose these options in the last 6 months), plus our Guided option. The total cost per month is £73.29, which is equivalent to £24.43 per employee. Costs are representative as of October 2023, and prices will vary depending on location, cover options and ages.

Ways to lower your costs

Here are some other ways you can look after your employees while still keeping an eye on your bottom line.

  • Pay up-front – save 5% by paying your subscription yearly instead of monthly.
  • Fix your subscription for two years – know exactly how much you’ll be investing in each employee over the next two years (tax changes still apply).
  • Choose an excess – reduce your annual subscription with an excess of for example £100, £250 or £500 per employee.
  • Pay less for using specialists that we’ve sourced – our Guided option will provide you with the choice of up to three specialists and book an appointment at a time and date that suits you (this option is not available with Extended Cover). Any unauthorised treatment will not be covered.

Choose your underwriting options

You can also decide how you’ll cover your employees for any conditions they might have before they join us.  The underwriting you go for will affect the cost of your plan in different ways, depending on the options you’ve chosen.

  • Fully underwritten
Your employees get the private healthcare cover that means so much to them, but pre-existing medical conditions aren’t covered.
  • Two-year moratorium
We’ll cover pre-existing medical conditions your employees have after two years of cover, as long as they have been completely free from advice, treatment or a special diet for twelve consecutive months after joining.  We’ll also take care of new health concerns that begin while they are with us too. The terms and conditions of the cover you choose will apply.
  • Continuing medical exclusions
If you’re coming from another provider, you can ‘lift and shift’ any underwriting you had with your previous health insurer across to your new plan. The terms and conditions for your new plan will apply.
  • Medical history disregarded
We cover your hard-working employees for pre-existing medical conditions, subject to your membership terms. Available if you’re looking to cover 15 employees or more.

Reward your employees differently

We know that one size doesn’t fit all. So, with our business healthcare cover you can reward your most senior and loyal employees differently. We’ve pulled together an example plan1, based on 20 employees that provides different levels of cover depending on employees' seniority, with a total plan cost of £474.80 per month. Here's the breakdown:

Category 3: 12 junior employees

Rewarded with Mental Health cover and Employee Assistance Programme (Premier). Average price per month, per employee: £3.84

Category 2: 5 mid-level employees

Rewarded with the same options as junior employees plus, Treatment with Comprehensive Cancer cover, Therapies and Standard Outpatient cover options included. Average price per month, per employee: £35.62

Category 1: 3 senior employees

Rewarded with the same options as junior and mid-level employees but with Full Outpatient cover instead of Standard Outpatient cover. Plus, Private GP, Dentist and Optician Cashback and Worldwide Travel cover are included. Average price per month, per employee: £104.41

The above example is based on 20 employees (Category 1: aged 42, 55 and 57. Category 2: aged 28, 30, 37, 41 and 52. Category 3: aged 25, 26, 30, 32, 36, 37, 42, 43, 38, 40, 40 and 50), living in Guildford, with a £100 excess and two-year underwriting on pre-existing conditions. Costs are representative as of October 2023, and prices will vary depending on location, cover options and ages.
