Health Assessment option

Even if your employees look and feel well, a health assessment can provide guidance so they can make small changes to feel even better and could prevent them developing health concerns in the future. So, it can be beneficial for both them and your business.*

*If an employee requires treatment following a health assessment, we may be able to provide this depending on the cover options and underwriting chosen with your plan. Your employee must check with us that they are covered for that particular medical condition.

How does it work?

  • Each employee can get up to £350 towards a health assessment every year.
  • Health assessments can include a consulation and a physical examination by a doctor or nurse.
  • A detailed medical report will be provided with test results, including any recommendations.
  • The assessment can be carried out by any Care Quality Commission (CQC) or equivalent regulator recognised provider.

Supporting your team's health and wellbeing

Maya is 43 and is the founder of a recruitment agency based in Norwich. She employs 15 people who have a hybrid working arrangement, spending half of their time in the office and half of their time working from home. Maya recently launched an employee wellbeing survey so she could identify any areas where she could help to improve the wellbeing of her team. A couple of her team members identified that they would like to have a health assessment to see if there are any ways that they could improve their health. Maya was then able to inform them as part of their health insurance plan, they had access to one health assessment a year up to the value of £350. Maya’s team members were then able to book a health assessment by a Care Quality Commission recognised provider, having already called us to check their cover.

  • 24/7 access to a private GP - Access to our 24/7 phone and video GP service, AXA Doctor at Hand (powered by Doctor Care Anywhere). Appointments are subject to availability. Advanced Nurse Practitioners available 8am-10pm. 
  • Muscle, bone and joint support - You and your team aged 18 and over get access to a physiotherapist over the phone or online, without the need for a GP referral.
  • Health information phone line - Our helpline is open 24/7 for health information and support from nurses and counsellors. Midwives and pharmacists are available from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, until 4pm on Saturday, and until 12pm on Sunday.
  • Heart and cancer support - Speak to our experienced health practitioners  on the phone - they can support you and your family when living with heart and cancer conditions.
  • Access to gym discounts - In addition to your healthcare cover, you can get up to 40% off monthly Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing centre memberships and Hussle Monthly+ pass fees for you and your employees.
