You and your team can get an online or phone appointment with a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner, for up to 20 minutes, at a time and place that suits you – 24/7, 365 days a year. Back Pain

Support for muscle, bone and joint problems. You and your team aged 18 and over can speak to a physiotherapist over the phone or online, without the need for a GP referral. They’ll assess the symptoms, talk about what they could mean, and help plan what to do next.

24/7 Support

Access to health information and support via our 24/7 telephone support line, giving you access to our team of nurses, counsellors, midwives and pharmacists who are on hand to support you and your team. Midwives and pharmacists are available 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am -4pm Saturdays and 8am-12pm Sundays. 

Your switching questions answered

We aim to continue the underwriting terms you have and to continue to cover conditions which were eligible with your current provider, subject to the terms and benefits of the new cover. In some cases (i.e. groups of 1 or 2), we may apply additional exclusions for conditions treated recently or for which treatment is planned or pending.

We just need each member's insurance certificate which will confirm the underwriting that will be transferred, as well as confirmation of the dates of your cover. Alternatively, if you are the person setting up your plan, you just need to give permission to your current provider to share these with us directly and they will release these to us on your behalf.

When you switch your business health insurance to us, there are no forms or paperwork. It’s a completely paperless application, with no individual medical declarations required.

There’s just one question that we ask you to answer, to the best of your knowledge, on behalf of your employees (see below). And we don’t need to carry out any medical checks on your employees when you take out your plan.

  • Are you aware of any employee or family member who will be covered under this plan, has been diagnosed with or has received any form of treatment or consultation for cancer in the past 12 months or has any medical condition likely to result in the need for an in-patient stay in hospital?

In order to get a quote, we ask that you provide:

  • your existing level of cover
  • excess option if chosen
  • employees’ names and date of birth.

It’s often easier for you to send over your renewal paperwork, which holds all the information we need. It’s also known as a ‘membership statement’.

We aim to save you up to 10% on the renewal of your current provider depending on the information provided. 

We can backdate your policy by up to 30 days and you may also have a 14 day cooling off period with your current provider.

We suggest that you call us to discuss your options. 

At AXA Health, we know that circumstances can change for every business, which is why you can tailor your cover options at the start of your policy and every renewal, building a plan that's best for your business and budget. However, you can't change your cover options at any other time. 


Yes. Our plans are flexible and you can add or remove members. All costs are pro rata and there are no admin fees applied to make these changes throughout the policy.

We will provide you with a presentation based on the quote that you have chosen which we can present to you/your decision makers and employees (pre/post sale) either via a video call or we can come and meet you at a time and place that’s convenient for you.
