Care for every stage of cancer
There are currently 890,000 people of working age living with cancer and this number is set to increase to 1,150,000 by 2030.1 We understand the life-changing impact a cancer diagnosis can have on your people and their families. As well as the physical symptoms, it can impact people's mental health, their identity and the way they live their life – both at work and at home.
While no two cancer journeys are the same, we offer support along the way through cancer care that you can tailor to meet the needs of your people and business.
Wherever your employees are on their cancer journey, we’ll be with them every step of the way.
What cancer services are included in our corporate health insurance?
-
Prompt access to diagnosis
If an employee aged 18 or over has concerns about changes to their skin or breasts, or if they are aged 40 and over with raised PSA levels that may indicate prostate concerns, they do not need to wait for a GP referral before seeing an expert or getting the right assessment - they can just call us. Our cancer diagnostic services provided by Check4Cancer, aim to see your employee within 5 working days.
-
Access to drugs and treatments
Our medical teams work closely with our clinical providers to support members diagnosed with cancer to find a specialist who can offer suitable treatment options. We cover the costs of licensed approved cancer drugs and treatments when your employees specialist refers them.
-
Support from our dedicated Cancer Care Team
We'll make sure your employees are supported every step of the way by someone they can speak to regularly in our dedicated Cancer Care Team. Their dedicated cancer case manager will help them understand their diagnosis, treatment and medication, and will also liaise with consultants, taking away some of the strain.
-
Cancer related fatigue management
We can arm your employees with the tools they need to manage one of the most common side effects of cancer, fatigue. Giving members access to the Untire Now app, helps them track and manage energy levels and help reduce the impact of cancer and treatments on life.
