Mena Panaite, nurse case manager, Cancer Care Team
Mena is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience, bringing extensive clinical experience combined with warmth and compassion to her role.
She re‑joined the Cancer Care Team in January this year after spending 12 years as a nurse adviser within the 24/7 health support line, supporting members around the clock with a wide range of health and wellbeing concerns.
Mena is currently on secondment within the Specialist Appointment Service – delivered by nurses as part of the 24/7 health support line. In this role, she plays a key part in sourcing appropriate cancer specialists and supporting patients through what can often be a complex and overwhelming cancer journey.
She is passionate about helping individuals find the most suitable specialists for their specific needs, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and reassured at every stage.
Mena began her nursing career in Romania, where she trained before continuing her professional journey in the UK. She went on to work within the NHS as an oncology and haematology nurse before eventually joining AXA Health.
She gains great satisfaction from supporting members with their wellbeing concerns and takes pride in providing compassionate, dependable care at any time of the day or night.
