The Official Training Partner of Liverpool FC and now the Official Training Partner of Mums

Join 'Team Mum'

Being a mum is busy! You care for everyone else first, usually put yourself last, and often deprioritise exercise for loads of reasons, from being time-poor to fear of judgement. We’d like to help with some small steps to living a healthier life, both physically and mentally.

Win a year's Membership to the Ramblers and a £5 Costa Coffee voucher

Walking can be great for both body and mind. As we head into spring and summer, we want to help mums walk more with friends and family.

We’ve partnered with the Ramblers, Britain’s walking charity, to give mums a year’s membership of the Ramblers for free. With the membership you get:

  • Access to 50,000 Ramblers group walks,
  • Access to the Ramblers app with thousands of tried-and-tested routes,
  • Welcome pack and magazine,
  • Lots of discounts and member offers.

Sign-up to Team Mum and you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a year’s Ramblers membership. You’ll also get a £5 Costa Coffee voucher. Who doesn’t love a coffee and natter with a friend around a local park? We’ll pick the lucky winners in time for National Walking Month in May. T&Cs apply.

Ever tried walking football?

As the Official Training Partner of Liverpool FC, we know that football helps millions of people stay active. It can get difficult to play as we get older, so walking football is a great alternative.

There’s no running and the ball must stay under head height. It’s loads of fun and a great place to build a network of new friends.

With both men’s and women’s teams of all ages and abilities – it’s a real judgement free zone.

Follow Liverpool FC player Kostas Tsimikas as he visited the Liverpool Feds Women’s Walking Football Team. And see what happened when our Liverpool Mums tried walking football for the first time.

Meet Steph, a dedicated Liverpool FC supporter, Mum, and passionate plasterer. We invited Steph to her local walking football club for a taster session, and she enjoyed it so much that she decided to join the women’s team permanently.

Steph used to find it challenging to stay active after work, due to the physical demands of her job. But one month on since joining the Liverpool Feds walking football team, Steph is thriving. She has already received the Player of The Match award and has a whole new network of like-minded friends to lean on for support.

Since joining the Feds, everything changed for her. Now, she's having a blast playing walking football on Tuesdays, enjoying cardio without even realising it, and spending quality time practicing with her daughter. She's noticed that losing some weight has really given her a boost on and off the pitch, and it's inspired her to keep going.

If you want to give it a try you can find your local club on the Walking Football Association club directory. Find a club near you.

Supporting walking football clubs across the country

There are women’s walking football teams across the country, but as a growing sport they need more support. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Walking Football Association (WFA) to provide funding for women’s walking football teams.

This will help to buy new equipment, hire pitches for training, start new clubs and ultimately provide more spaces for women to get together and try walking football.

If you’re a women’s walking football team and want to apply for funding, look out for details here.
