Nutritional highlights

Greek yoghurt is typically higher in protein and lower in sugars than regular yoghurt, also providing us with a great source of calcium which is important for maintaining good bone health. Strawberries offer not only a fantastic taste of summer but they also pack a punch with health benefits, including links with a healthy heart and supporting the immune system.

Ingredients list

(Makes 2 servings)
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Freeze Time: Overnight

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Cut the tops off the strawberries and slice into quarters.

Place the strawberries, honey, Greek yoghurt and lemon juice into a food processor.

Process for 2-3 minutes or until creamy, ensuring that lumps have been eradicated.

Place in a food container and freeze for 6 hours (or preferably overnight) before serving.

Healthy swaps/tips (if applicable)

For a dairy free alternative try swapping the Greek yogurt for coconut yoghurt.

Agave nectar can make a great alternative for honey when looking to add the natural sweetness.

This doesn’t just work for strawberries, experiment with other fruits such as raspberries, mango or peaches.
