I'm a registered nurse who worked for 36 years in the NHS. Since qualifying at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead I've worked in a variety of settings starting on surgical wards specialising in breast, vascular and urological surgery.

From there I moved into A&E - delivering babies one minute and dealing with major trauma the next. After moving to NHS Direct as a nurse advisor then safeguarding lead, I then worked in a busy hospital outpatients department alongside consultants who specialised in vascular and plastic surgery and breast reconstruction.

I have now been working at AXA Health for 4 years and very much enjoy being part of the amazing team that are the 24/7 health support line.
