Registered general nurse

24/7 health support line

I've been a dedicated registered nurse for over 30 years, having trained at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. My diverse career has taken me from general surgery and interventional radiology to specialising in intensive care in Leicester, where I gained invaluable experience in cardiac, adult, and paediatric intensive care, working alongside the ECMO team in both settings. I also spent time in industry as an endocrine product specialist, educating community paediatricians, school nurses, and hospital consultants on treatments for conditions such as nocturnal enuresis, growth hormone deficiencies, and erectile dysfunction.

After returning to intensive and coronary care in Surrey, I joined AXA Health in April 2023, bringing my wealth of clinical experience to the 24/7 health support line. What I love most about my role is the incredible variety — no day is the same, and no call is alike, which keeps me on my toes and makes each shift both challenging and rewarding.

Outside of work, now that my children are young adults, my role as a mother has relaxed enough to let me run for fun, rather than in desperation, and spend time with friends instead of in therapy. My true passion is my beloved black Labrador, Beau, who I affectionately call the ‘most loved member of the family.’
