Getting you to the right support, fast

You can be confident we’ll help you access the care you need, quickly. If you have our outpatient diagnosis and care option, you’ll have access to diagnostic breast and skin cancer checks within 5 working days, and digestive and dermatology specialist advice online within three working days. You'll also have access to see a physio online within one working day1 and 24/7 online GP appointments2

What you can expect from cover that cares

24/7 health support line

If you have a question or concern, you can reach out to qualified, experienced nurses day or night on our 24/7 health support line. Midwives and pharmacists are also available 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm Saturday and 8am to 12pm Sunday3

24/7 online GP service

Appointments and prescriptions made easy. Speak with a GP via video or phone, day or night, 365 days a year. Advanced Clinical Practitioners are also available from 8am to 10pm2

Fast access to care

If you have our outpatient, diagnosis and care option, you can access a diagnostic cancer check for breast or skin worries within five working days1 – no GP referral required. You'll also have access to see a physio online within one working day without a referral, for swift answers when you need them1

We offer access to thousands of providers and specialists, and hundreds of scanning centres and hospitals throughout the UK.

Dedicated cancer support

We know that a cancer diagnosis for yourself or a loved one has a huge impact. With our cancer care option, you’ll have access to our team of cancer nurses, who are at the end of the phone for you and your family, whatever the worry, and remain a consistent point of contact through treatment and beyond. 

Mental health support line

Chat a worry through confidentially with one of our mental health professionals on our 24/7 support line. A safe space to speak about how you’re feeling. Our qualified and experienced team can provide information and signpost further support if you need it3

Pro-active support for parents

Welcoming a new baby is a wonderful life moment, but it also demands a lot from your physical, mental and emotional health. When you add a new baby to your membership, we'll call you to chat through any questions or concerns you have, or if you simply need a listening ear.

Our AXA Health Plan, like most health insurance, is designed to cover new conditions that develop after you join and not pre-existing conditions.

1. 95% of members were offered a breast check within 5 working days and 98% were offered a skin check within 5 working days in 2025. Appointments in Northern Ireland have limited availability. 99% of members needing an online physiotherapist appointment were offered one within 1 working day in 2025; 99% of dermatology service users and 98% of digestive service users received their report within 3 working days in 2025. These services are available for members aged 18 or over.  

2. Subject to appointment availability. Prescriptions and deliveries are only available in the UK, are not covered by your plan and may cost more than on the NHS.

3. Our 24/7 health support and mental health support lines are not advisory services and aren't a replacement for medical advice provided by your GP or specialist. These services cannot respond to emergencies. If you need an urgent response or have a medical emergency, please call 111/999 or attend A&E.
