Mixed Berry and Banana Slushie

Desserts don't come much quicker and easier than this delicious slushie!

This slushie is suitable for vegans, vegetarians and is dairy and gluten free! It counts as one of our five a day and is the perfect dessert for those looking to increase their fruit intake whilst still enjoying something sweet after dinner. Blueberries are full of antioxidants, specifically anthocyanins which help to manage inflammation associated with depressions and some mood disorders. Antioxidants can also help prevent damage to our cells that may lead to certain cancers.

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 0 minutes

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 200g frozen mixed berries

Method

Slice the bananas and add to a bowl with the frozen berries. 

With a handheld blender blend to make a slushy ice and serve straight away. 

Healthy swaps and tips

  • Why not add in some fat free natural yogurt.
  • If using fresh berries, put in the fridge to cool down.
