If you're suffering from a brain or nerve condition that can't be managed by your GP, then don't wait long to get the answers you need. If you're 18 or over and have a referral from your GP, you can access our online neurology service.
After completing a quick online assessment, you'll hear back from a neurologist usually within three working days.
This service is delivered by HBSUK.
After you've received the results of your assessment, if you have any further questions, you can have a phone or video call from the comfort of your own home.
What's included in the service?
The neurology service includes the following, as needed:
- An online assessment, reviewed by a consultant neurologist, with a letter advising you on next steps for your care within three working days.
- A video or phone consultation with your neurologist, if needed.
If you use this service, this will count as a consultation, and will affect your out-patient limit, specialist consultations limit, or excess you may have

Please call AXA Health's claims helpline on 0800 068 6256. We'll check you're covered and provide you with a link to the service where you can be assessed, make appointments, and get the treatment you need.
Set up a HBSUK online account
To register, you’ll need your email address and AXA Health membership number, which you can find on your certificate of cover.
Review and next steps
Your neurologist will review everything and then aim to get back to you within 3 working days. If you don't need further tests or treatment, you can get that reassurance fast. If you do need further tests or treatment, we can help arrange those quickly for you.
This service is delivered by HBSUK, a specialist led online service that is part of the AXA Group, so you’ll see these names when you use the service. Please only book your appointment from your own HBSUK account. If you book on behalf of someone else, the specialist won’t have the right details.
