You don't need to wait long to get the answers you need. A specialist will advise on next steps or provide reassurance within 3 working days of an online assessment.

What's included in the service?

The Digestive Health service includes the following, as needed:

  • An assessment from a specialist and advice on next steps.
  • A video or phone consultation with the specialist, if needed.
  • Further tests that you can take at home if appropriate, such as the FIT stool test or a blood test, can be arranged if needed.
  • We can check what your membership covers, and advise you on whether you need extra investigations not offered by the service, such as a camera test, for example a colonoscopy.
  • If you need a face-to-face specialist appointment, we'll check what your membership covers and set up an appointment for you. If you prefer, you can get the information to book yourself.

Use of the service will impact any excess and outpatient limits applicable to your policy.

You'll be offered the option to use the online Digestive Health service. You’ll need your email address and AXA Health membership number, which you can find on your certificate of cover.

This service is delivered by HBSUK, a specialist led online service that is part of the AXA Group, on their Virtual Lucy platform, so you’ll see these names when you use the service. Please only book your appointment from your own HBSUK account. If you book on behalf of someone else, the specialist won’t have the right details.
