The scheme may act if it decides that an insurance company is in such serious financial difficulties that it may not be able to honour its contracts of insurance. The scheme may assist by providing financial assistance to the insurer concerned, by transferring policies to another insurer, or by paying compensation to eligible policyholders.

What’s my membership number?
Your membership number is on any communications we've sent you, usually at the top. It’s also on some emails.
Your membership number will be a set of letters and numbers.
Why are my details not recognised?
Please enter your first name, last name and date of birth exactly as you did when you joined.
When entering your membership number, please include any slashes (/) or hyphens (-).

If your plan has ended, you won’t be able to set up a new online account.
I’ve been locked out. What happens now?
When you enter your details incorrectly too many times, we’ll lock your account to protect it. Usually this is only for five minutes, but the screen will tell you how long you're locked out for.

The screen says my membership details are already being used by another account. What do I do?
To keep your account secure, if you’ve already set up an account with us, you can’t set up another account with the same details.
