Specialist appointment booking service

We make it quick and easy for you to see a specialist quickly. The sooner you see someone, the sooner you can get a diagnosis and treatment. And the sooner you can start feeling better.

You'll need to include the outpatient cover option on your plan for the consultation to be covered

Here's how it works

  1. Ask your GP for an open referral. An open referral is when a GP doesn't name a particular specialist, but instead gives the type of specialist that you need to see. If you can't get to see your own GP, don't forget you can use our online GP service.
  2. Call our claims team who will assess your claim and pass your details to our appointments booking team who will book an appointment for you.
  3. Or they'll give you a choice of up to three specialists, and you can get in touch when you're ready.

If you call us with a suspected cancer or heart condition, the moment we get off the phone with you we’ll get you an urgent appointment with a specialist.
