Padron peppers

Padron peppers make a very simple but tasty tapas dish. They can be cooked to snack on while preparing the rest of the food or enjoyed as part of the meal.

Nutritional highlights

Peppers are a great sources of vitamins C, and K as well as being rich in fibre. Vitamin C is an important antioxidant which helps to keep our cells, skin, blood vessels and bones healthy. It's also important for wound healing, alongside vitamin K which plays a key role in blood clotting.

Ingredients list

(Makes 6 servings) 
Cooking Time: 5 minutes

  • 500g padron peppers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of rock salt

Method

Heat the olive oil in a pan over a high heat.

Add the padron peppers for about 5 minutes, or until slightly charred.

Serve with a sprinkle of rock salt.
